The way I work
As a counsellor, with many years of practice, I work with a wide range of issues both personal and professional.
I work in an integrative way and while my training is predominantly psychodynamic, I also draw on cognitive strategies.
We would work in the present but might also explore links with the past and how these can impact on you emotionally and physically, causing distress and preventing you moving forward.
We would look at ways of managing both feelings and thoughts to enable you to have a more fulfilling and creative life.
I aim to offer a balance of warmth, support and challenge and the efficacy of this is confirmed in 20 years working full-time as a counsellor.
I provide a safe, confidential and accepting space to allow reflection and to find a voice for and share difficult thoughts and feelings
“It takes two to speak the truth, — one to speak, and another to hear.” Thoreau
